Innovation in Timber Construction: the Timber Frame Robot Nominated for the Product Made in West Flanders Award
At HoutPro+ 2025, Handsaeme Machinery showcases its innovative strength within the woodworking industry.
Our Timber Frame Robot, one of our latest realizations in prefabricated timber construction, was recently nominated for the Product Made in West Flanders Award — a recognition of technological innovation, local craftsmanship and future-oriented building solutions.
Under the motto “Stronger Together in Process Automation,” we are joining forces with our Dutch partner De Groot Bewerkingsmachines during the fair.
Together, we demonstrate how smart automation helps woodworking companies produce more efficiently, consistently and precisely.
Through this partnership, we offer a complete solution with local service in the Netherlands – from engineering and installation to maintenance and on-site support.
Smart Automation for Timber Frame Production
The Timber Frame Robot is a robotized production line that fully automates the manufacturing of prefabricated wall panels – from board placement and fastening to sawing and milling – with maximum precision and consistent quality.
By taking over heavy and repetitive tasks, the robot supports craftsmen in timber construction, allowing them to focus on quality, precision and finishing.
Fully developed and built in Belgium, this project reflects our expertise in machine construction and our commitment to innovation within the timber and construction industries.
The line symbolizes how local technology and craftsmanship strengthen each other, with a clear focus on efficiency, ergonomics and sustainability.
Smart Robotics for Every Application
In addition to the Timber Frame Robot, we develop a wide range of HM-ROBOT solutions for various woodworking applications.
Under the motto “Boost your production with Handsaeme HM-ROBOT Solutions,” we combine smart robotics with flexibility and precision.
Our robotized machines are used for the production and handling of wooden components such as pallets, crates, garden structures and furniture parts.
Depending on production needs, customers can choose a stand-alone configuration – such as the HM-ROB G2 – or a fully integrated line combining our HM-H, HM-C and HM-V machines.
With different robot types and gripping options, we provide a tailor-made solution for every capacity, payload and reach requirement.
